Estimated impact of climate change

The Climate Vulnerability Forum estimates that maize yields will be significantly impacted by climate change, although the impact is predicted to be positive in countries such as Russia and New Zealand, where precipitation is predicted to increase under a high emissions scenario out to 2090. In South Africa, maize yields are predicted to decline by more than 10% under a high average global temperature increase scenario, while soy yields are predicted to rise.
